Coombe Lodge, near Bristol

Set in 15 acres of landscaped gardens with stunning views across the Chew Valley to Blagdon Lake, Coombe Lodge is a magnificent mansion and ideal wedding venue.

Couples are offered the choice of a variety of chandelier-lit ceremony rooms, all of which overlook the beautiful gardens. Alternatively, you may prefer a ceremony outside in the gardens themselves, under a picturesque stone archway.

The splendid Music Room can accommodate 160 seated guests and there is ample capacity for many more for an evening party. Additional rooms can be used as a children’s playroom, entertainments area or separate lounge.

There is a delightfully flexible approach to whichever style of cuisine you would prefer; three course served meal, fork buffet or more relaxed sharing platters. This enables you to theme your menu to reflect the mood of your ceremony.

Aldwick Court Farm, Bristol

Aldwick Court Farm and Vinery is a truly unique venue. A family home for five generations, it has now been transformed into a superb combination of a rustic seventeenth century farm with the comforts and efficiencies of modern day living.

Two adjacent stone barns have been converted and linked by a main reception area, offering panoramic views over adjacent fields to the River Yeo.

The venue employs in-house caterers specialising in a variety of different menus to suit every taste.

The Forge is a pre-ceremony dressing room, private retreat and honeymoon suite combined. Comprising an open plan kitchen and sitting room, bedroom with king sized bed and bathroom with shower. The apartment is located just two dozen paces from the main venue and is included free of charge on the day.

Batch Country House, Somerset

Having hosted weddings for over 25 years, Batch Country House is perfectly prepared to provide the wedding day you have dreamed of. They can help organise any aspect of your big day, including catering, wedding cars, flowers, dresses and evening entertainment, through their recommended suppliers.

Batch Country House is set in magnificent grounds with water features and is licensed for ceremonies both indoors and outdoors. Endless photo opportunities are available throughout the grounds. Three select venues offer very different atmospheres.

The Ivory Suite is dressed to resemble a marquee during the day but transforms with its stunning starlight ceiling for an evening event. It accommodates 60 people for a seated meal and up to 350 for an evening function.

A more intimate location is the Somerset Suite, with featured oak beams and a beautiful Minster fireplace. In the evening the dancefloor can be exposed and an adjoining bar and lounge accessed. 40 to 100 guests can be catered for with a sit down meal and up to 140 in the evening.

The Garden Room is light and airy with wonderful views and is intended as an area for pre-ceremony drinks or a breakfast room for the morning following the ceremony. It caters for 40 to 90 seated guests.

Old Down Estate, near Bristol

Old Down Estate features a lovingly restored manor house set in 66 acres of beautiful grounds with fantastic views across the River Severn to Wales.

It can be the wedding venue of your dreams featuring lavish bedrooms and bathrooms, sweeping staircases and picturesque gardens, offering numerous photo opportunities for your big day.

You get to enjoy the whole venue exclusively, so that you can relax in the reception rooms, take a dip in the indoor pool or stroll around the magnificent orangery.

The featured wedding venue is The Barn, featuring flagstone floors, exposed wood beams wrapped in lights and wood burning stoves to create a cosy, intimate atmosphere. There is a civil ceremony licence for 70 guests with an array of catering options to choose from.

The dedicated chefs aim to provide the best in modern and traditional dining experiences. A variety of seasonal menus are available with many ingredients grown on the Estate or sourced locally. With notice we are pleased to cater for children and any specific dietary requirements. A menu tasting session can be arranged.

Drinks packages are available that admirably complement our menus, ranging from fine wines and spirits to soft drinks and cordials.
